Draft Day

So I forgot about the draft last night, even though I had read about it that morning. I suppose that means I'm not a fan of the new format. I am a fan of the picks the Lions made last night though. It's hard to think of a way to do better than coming out with Ndamukong Suh and Jahvid Best at the end of the night.

Super Bowl weekend for the Lions!

Let's start drinking the kool-aid and eatin' the cornbread.

Observations:

1. Sam Bradford went #1. Isn't he the guy that won the Heisman as a Sophomore, decided not to enter the draft and then got injured in his first game in 2009? And he still went #1 overall? Wow.

2. Tim Tebow went in the 1st round? I'm a little surpised.

3. A defensive Michigan player went in the 1st round. Congrats.

4. Dez Bryant got drafted by...Dallas. Shocker. In fact, I can't believe the Raiders didn't get him. Both those teams love problem players. He may not have a problem, but there was a lot of speculation with Deion I believe.

5. I barely knew any of the 1st round guys.

Well, there were a lot of OTs.

I didn't know much about Suh until I heard Herbstreit gushing over him on Mike & Mike one morning. I was hoping at that point that the Lions could land him.

I can't believe Tebow went before Clausen or McCoy. I guess that tells you how important that "perfect" delivery is.
