Forty Minutes

So, is anyone giving MSU a shot against Memphis? Well, besides Bob Wojnowski? This is the kind of game MSU lives for. That doesn't guarantee a win, but it suggest it could be quite a game. Just don't call it an upset. Also, is anyone really rooting for Memphis? Calipari and his team have been bugging me since mid-February, and I barely followed college basketball. Am I alone here?

Well, this is just embarassing. Apparently Izzo's players are satisfied with making in to the Sweet 16 and didn't want to actually play in the game. Patton once said that America will not tolerate a loser. Neither will I; time to go to bed.

Was that High School vs College? What an ugly first half. State looked like they were playing against men. I'm pretty shocked. Izzo is one of those guys that can get his team ready for anyone. Two completely different teams on each half of the court. What did he say at halftime? "Guys, practice is tomorrow at 7am. Better get ready for next year. I don't care if we have to find a court outside, this is embarrassing."

I picked MSU over Memphis because come on, it's still Memphis. Not a traditional basketball powerhouse, even if it is Calipari. Besides, any team that goes 35-1 is destined to lose in my opinion. Heck, they nearly lost last weekend. And if a team does go 35-1, what does that say about their conference and strength of schedule? You need to lose a few games to learn a little more. Also, with Memphis ranked 339 out of 341 in FT%, how does that not catch up to them by now in the Elite 8?

I hope "Wojo" was at the right game. I'm sure there were a lot of pissed off Spartan fans at Ford Field last night hoping MSU would have been in that bracket. Oh well, if Izzo comes back strong, he can get them to the Final Four at Ford Field next year.

Man, the "D" is happenin':
MLB All-Star game in 2005(?)
NFL Super Bowl in 2006(?)
NCAA Final Four in 2009
PGA Rider Cup in 2006(?)

Seems like I'm missing something else.
