Five

Five people are currently signed up for the league (Adam, Andy, Haag, Rick, and the Kid). I'd suggest the rest of you sign up ASAP so we can make sure everything is ready by draft day. Go here to sign up, league ID 1880, password monkie.

I'd also like to take the opportunity to welcome Rick to the league. I expect there's going to be much smack talk this season, so I'll lay the groundwork now:

I think that will give us enough material to be on Rick "Norwegian Blue" Parrott all season.

When are we going to know the draft order...or am I blind and missed it

We usually draft in reverse order of last year's standings, i.e. Fritz would draft in the last spot because he won the league last year. But I'm not sure where to insert the new guys. I'm looking for ideas on that one.

At the "League Draw" last Sunday night, "Fantasy Sports Guy" had 12 fantasy football draft cards that we put into a bowl and you picked your draft position out of the bowl. We have 3 new guys to that league this year and they all picked LAST...but they weren't at the draw though. Someone just picked for them. One of the new guys had the last pick...and he ended up with the 2nd pick in the draft. That was actually CC 2000 graduate Travis Eyer (sp?) who works at JJ Jamokes now.

Also, I believe JC Penny has some sort of a fantasy football draft kit for maybe $10. The kit comes with a sticker board that you can stick the player names on the draft board. It comes with position sticker boards with nearly all the possible guys to draft. For instance, the "Team Defense" sticker board has all the teams on there. When you pick the Bears, just peal it off and stick it on the draft board. Each position sticker board comes with about 50 guys. It worked really well last year for our league of 12 teams and everyone picked at least 3 running backs, if not 4. Rarely ever did we have to "write in" a player name. There was usually a sticker for everyone.

A board would work great for me if we can pick one up that cheap. I wasn't going to ask people to pitch in much in the way of money, but I think we could probably swing $10.
