The Tigers won the finale of their 3-game series with White Sox today with a
2-1 win. Marcus Thames' slide, shown here (photo from AP), set up Chris Shelton for a key double in the 7th inning. It's games like this that make you think that the Tigers may really have a shot to do something. Things looked grim after their 7-1 loss in the first game of the series, but they turned things around admirably. Let's hope for a strong weekend against Oakland.
