From a business standpoint, I agree. From a "the season is long over" standpoint, I agree. From a "we know Stafford is our future and we don't want to injure him worse" standpoint, I agree.
It's a no brainer.
If the Lions wouldn't have drafted Stafford, how hard would it have been to trade for a good backup QB? Derek Anderson would be better than Culpepper. The Raiders have a couple QB's actually putting up decent numbers. Chad freakin' Henne anyone?
