Wojo is dead-on in his column today. I'll comment more later.
UPDATE: Not as into this as I was this morning, so bullet points:
-Having so many bowls is awesome. That means we get "Bowl Week" on ESPN. People who complain about this need to shut up and go find some NBA game to watch.
-As Wojo says, and as I've said before, a playoff will only push the controversy down a level. You'll never be able to make people happy.
-Government needs to stay out of football. Idiots.
-MSU will be toasted by Texas Tech. I seriously think it will be something like 48-21.

I have some points:
1. He's right, why is it still called the "World" Series? I've wondered that for a few years. I'm really surprised there hasn't been more discussion to change it because of how "offensive" it must be to other countries. Think about it. Look how sensitive our world is. To quote John Wooden, "Goodness, gracious, sakes alive!," when I go to anything baby related, I am called the "coach," the "support person," or my recent favorite while registering at Babys r us, the "co-registrant." You know what...I'M FREAKING OFFENDED! I am the $#@$%^#@ FATHER, DAD, HUSBAND!!! I am not a coach or support person. I'm the friggin' D-A-D!
2. How convienent of the bowl people to put two undefeated teams against each other. Then, they put Cincy v Florida. Then Texas v Alabama. I think the reason they did it was so at the end of the year there may only be at the most two undefeated teams.
Look at it this way: Florida should beat Cincy. There, Cincy's out. TCU v Boise State...one less undefeated team. Then Alabama v Texas. Bama wins. So, you're left with Bama and TCU/Boise St. as the only undefeateds. They did everything they could to get it down to only one undefeated team. Heck, TCU/Boise St. might play 7 OT's and then they'll just call it a tie. Now you are left with only 'Bama as the undefeated. Boo-yah...National Champs. No more controversay.
3. I've always agreed...why is our government worrying about college football or any sports for that matter. You seriously have to have better things to do. You HAVE to. You have the ability to blow countries up. Let some other entity deal with sports. It makes no sense to have the same guy that hits the missle button as the playoff button. Job descriptions anyone???
