How Much Better?

Now that the Lions have hired Martz, the question is how big an impact will he have on the team? Of course with an all-new coaching staff it might be difficult to break out his individual contributions, but you can boil it down to this: What do you expect out of the Lions next year? On PTI, Kornheiser and Wilbon gave the Lions a 65% and 75% chance, respectively, of reaching the playoffs. Now any Lions fan will know how dangerous it is to be too optimistic, but this is coming from neutral observers. Could it be realistic? Well, no. Am I wrong?
