It's the time of the year when rumors about the NFL draft start circulating. They're already starting, as this report from Chris Mortensen of ESPN shows. Apparently, the Texans will take Reggie Bush with the 1st pick, even if Vince Young enters. This would leave Leinart and Young to likely be selected by the Saints and Titans. The highest profile picks would be gone before #5.
What does this mean for the Lions? Well, if you're hoping the team will snag Young or Leinaet, you're likely to be disappointed unless they make a monster move up. It also means that Titans' backup Billy Volek might be available. With the Lions likey to need multiple QBs, I think picking up an experienced backup who may have the talent to be a starter would be a great idea. So, don't expect to see it happen.
