?

Question for the Michigan fans out there: What do you think did Rich Rodriguez in? Not results so much as the causes. Recruiting offense over defense? Arrogance, i.e. not taking the rivalries with OSU and MSU seriously? Not teaching fundamentals? Lack of institutional control? Lack of support from boosters? Bad luck? Expectations that were too high? All of the above?

I realize they will be hunting for a "Michigan Man" because that's what the mob wants. I think a better description is one I heard on sports radio is a "Midwest Man." A guy that knows the area, region, territory, etc. Now, one could argue they already had that guy...Brian Kelly. He had Grand Valley, CMU, and Cincinatti. Who knows the midwest better than him?

Sports Radio makes a good point that 3 years ago, they didn't get the guy they wanted. Not even the second guy. So, they took Rich Rod. Here we are again, not able to get the guy (Jim H.) or even the second guy (Les Miles). Now they have to settle for Brady Hoke because he's the "Michigan Man." Well loddy freakin' da.

You still had to fire RR. 0-6 against the rivals. Enough said. .500 at home. Worst 3 year stretch of record, defense, yards/points given up per game. Terrible Special Teams. Defense did not get better. Didn't have support. Crushed in bowl game. I know it didn't come down to the bowl game, but you have to make a better case to keep you than that performance.
