The Fan

So, after reading this article by Wojo, I assume WDFN is dead?

I wondered what was up. On Tuesday, I tried to listen to Jim Rome via the WDFN website. The website said "WDFN was Under Construction" blah blah blah. But, in the car that morning, it wasn't Matt Shepard. I was in my car later in the morning and the Dan Patrick show was on. It seemed that it was a bunch of Fox shows.

On Wednesday, I still couldn't access WDFN via the web. Again, I'd get in the car after school and it was Chris Myers.

Thursday, same story.

However, today, I could access the WDFN website and listen to Jim Rome...like I am currently. So, yeah, I guess WDFN is done with using local talent, and it will be all syndication now.

Sad.

In fact, I was listening on Tuesday or Wednesday morning to WHNN 96.1 and they were talking about a bunch of radio station cuts and that a large percentage of cuts had been made. Something like 1200 people lost jobs in the Citadel Broadcasting organization. I guess I didn't put two-and-two together.

I thought it was a little odd that on the same day the article was posted the Detroit News didn't have a story anywhere about it.
