Running It Up

Did the Pats run up the score on the 'Skins? Undoubtedly. The conventional wisdom is that Belichick is pissed about getting caught red-handed stealing defensive signals and has instituted a scorched earth policy with the rest of the NFL, which only serves to further the impression that the Patriots are bullies. So will good guy Tony Dungy and his Colts stand up and punch the bully in the mouth? I hope so.

Who do I think has the best chance of winning the game? The Colts.

Who do I think has the best chance of finishing the Reg. Season undefeated? The Patriots. Those two statements don't add up, do they?

Anyway, here is my dream for the year: When the '72 Dolphins celebrate their 25 year reunion of being the only team undefeated, they can celebrate the '07 Dolphins as the only team to run the table...the other way going winless.

How great would it be that the Miami franchise holds both records for the "perfect season." The best part is 0-16 is harder than 14-0 because they only had to play 14 games to do it. Yes, technically they went 17-0, but I'm only counting the reg. season.

War Miami going 0-16 and some team going 16-0...this season!

You know what I've noticed this week during the debate about the Pats running up the score? Every person that defends them seems to be a jerk. At least that's my impression if I've heard them before seeing their response to this question. Take Sean Salisbury for instance. There's no doubt he's a world-class jerk, so he's right there defending Belichick.
