?

From a Chrysler commercial aired during the Super Bowl, referring to Detroit: "What does this city that's been to hell and back know about luxury?" Back?

Also, when did Eminem become a marketable spokesperson?

Okay, here's my two-cents on the commercials:

1. I thought overall, the commercials were pretty good.

2. My favorite...the Bud Light - Kitchen Construction Before/After commerical. #2 favorite was the Doritos comercial where everything comes back to life, including Grandpa.

3. Worst Commerical - the Brisk Iced Tea using a cartoon character of Eminem. Oh, nice touch on the swearing, too.

4. I hope Pepsi Max received some phone calls yesterday. Their last commerical where we can hear the guy thinking "I want to sleep with her, I want to sleep with her, I want to sleep with her, etc.", that was distasteful, followed by swearing in the commercial. Way to go Pepsi. Way to keep it risque (sp?).

5. Finally, the other Eminem commercial. I will give bonus points for airing a one-minute commercial without even mentioning the brand. That part was cool. By the way, I've heard that commercial went over very well for the "D."

6. I agree, some companies went a little overboard. They could have just given that money to China (or anyone we owe money to in our National Debt). It's like Doritios couldn't decided between all of them, so they just chose them all. Which, most were pretty decent.

The Game: At least it was a good game that stayed close and wasn't a blowout. That's all I wanted. However, I do have chest pains still from all the passes Big Ben was throwing to me sitting at home. He kept hitting me (the defense) between the numbers, instead of his own receivers. Either the "fix" was in, or he had a really bad night.

Oh, the National Anthem...I somehow didn't catch that.

If Madden would have done the game, I'm sure we would have heard some reference to Brett Favre. I'm kinda surprised I didn't hear any thing about Favre.

Have to love the fact Jerry Jones couldn't set the attendance record. Maybe they didn't realize the Super Bowl was played so soon, you know, Feb. 6. How do you not have all the seating ready?

Must have loved hearing the "Jerry Sucks" chants at the gates.

This is off topic, but let's get on the Sparty's for a moment.

Is it possible their struggles have anything to do with Mr. Izzo being courted all summer by the Cavs and the possibility of coaching in the NBA? He strung the Cavs and MSU along. Maybe he lost some focus and that trickled down to the players losing some focus, maybe thinking about playing in the NBA rather than having a good upcoming season.

I don't actually think Izzo lost focus. But, the players probably got caught up in everything, not completely knowing Izzo's intentions.

There's no way he was going to the Cavs, but the players could have had a little uncertainty.
