I think the trailer was all about 1) creating mood, 2) showing some shots that would interest the general public, and 3) show shots that were exact recreations of panels in the comic to excite the geeks. I'm still undecided about going to see it myself. These scenes are cool, but then Rorschach is the best character in the story, so it may not be an accurate read.

I have to say, I've got a different opinion now. Seeing the trailer before The Dark Knight, I wasn't too crazy about the movie.
