If a UM fan isn't proof enough, take it from the guys over at FiveThirtyEight. Great statistical look at just how much Izzo overachieves every year. Basically he wins 3 games more in the tourney than his seed typically performs. Great read.
I wonder how much the usually brutal early season scheduling affects this? The extra losses don't help your seeding, but they can make the team better when it counts.
