After the huge contract extension for Miguel Cabrera and the total misfire on the giant Prince Fielder contract are you starting to have doubts about Dave Dombrowski? I understand why you'd want to do an extension, but that number for that many years is insane.

Not a fan of the contract. I'm not giving up on Dave yet because I think he's still done a great job of bringing in good guys and finding good, young talent. They've been super competitive since 2006.

Bad contract. He's going to be a DH in a few years. He turns 31 on April 18 and after age 35 will struggle to stay healthy. He's already shown to be injury prone, as most big guys are...unless you are David Ortiz from Oct. 10 - Oct. 30.

Look at the history of other big contracts and the stats and/or health of those players after a few years. Many of the contracts are signed when the player is about 30 years old and to guys who are big guys. The stats go down because they just can't stay healthy.

Cabby is going to struggle keeping that body going.
