It's not every day you see an article in a Detroit paper start with a location of Cass City, but the
lead story on the
Detroit News website today is about the Sanilac Petroglyphs. Short version: The Petroglyphs are eroding away because the government does not want to spend the money to protect them and there's difficulty getting private money because of general economic conditions in the Thumb and legal issues involving Indian tribes.
