I'm interested to see what Dark Knight Rises will do. Avatar, Harry Potter, and Avengers have done very well to keep breaking records, but I still think there's a bigger audience anticipating Batman.

It's funny, the night before I saw Avengers, I was watching Toy Story and just happened to see in the credits that Josh Whedon did the screenplay. Later that night, I did some Avenger research because I was curious who got to be THE Director and it was...Josh Whedon. What are the odds of that?

The reason I was curious is because Avengers is like the USA basketball team. Iron Man is the Lakers, Thor is the Bulls, and Captain America is the Celtics. Well, the coach for the Lakers, Bulls, and Celtics can't be the "head coach" (director) of the USA Olympic team. So, who got to be the "Head Coach" of Jordan, Magic, and Bird? Josh Whedon...who also did some work on Toy Story. Interesting.

Before Avengers Joss was best known for his television work: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and the short-lived but awesome Firefly. He has also had a popular run a writer on the Astonishing X-Men comic book.

There's a lot of buzz about Batman, but I don't see it doing as well as Avengers. I expect it to be a very good to great movie, but it will probably be intense and not as much fun. But TDK was pretty intense and people went to see it in droves, so I could be wrong.
