After seeing some real horsesh*t personal foul calls the last few weeks, here's a question: Is the Big Ten becoming a league for pansies? Jeremy Ware made a hit that made me sit up and say "Nice hit!" No thought for even a second that it might be a penalty. If I'm on the sidelines I'm slapping him on the back telling what a good play it was. Then the refs throw a flag after the guy has been on the ground for a minute. That's garbage. If the conference isn't going to let the players play hard, then maybe it really is as awful as the critics say.

How bad does the Big Ten need an undefeated team? Every year, the Big Ten gets criticized as a weak conference. So, by having an undefeated team, does that help gain respect from the pollsters, media, analysts, BCS honks, etc?

So, if MSU has to suffer for the greater good of the Big Ten, is that what the officials will do?

I'm not sure it matters. I can't imagine a scenario where Iowa is given much respect at the end of the season even if they are undefeated. They'd get stomped by their opponent, and the media will be sure to tell us that, and how bad the conference is, from the end of the year until gameday.

I don't think there's been any intent behind the bad calls, at MSU or elsewhere, just stupidity.
