The Name Game

Via Dirty Harry's Place, here's an article on strange celebrity baby names. The highlights:

Rachel Griffiths' son, Banjo.
Emma Thompson's daughter, Gaia.
Arthur Ashe's daughter, Camera.
Penn Jillette's daughter, Moxie CrimeFighter.
Ving Rhames' son, Freedom, and daughter, Reignbeau.
Nic Cage's son Kal-El.
Kevin Smith's daughter Harley Quinn (from comments on article).

Okay, some of these make Hyacinth sound not-so-bad. Moxie CrimeFighter? That's so crazy I almost like it. Kal-El? That might be setting the bar a little high. Honestly, I thought the cluelessness of the writer was almost as funny as some of the names. Yeah, it sure is crazy to get a name from the Bible. Whatever they might think, I'm pretty sure Max and Levi aren't really that strange. Of course, none of them have anything on Calvin Coolidge Julius Caesar Tuskahoma McLish, referenced previously here.

Another thought: What happened to giving kids an unusual middle name? At least then they could hide the strange name.
